Synopsis
Gus, a young man who has just graduated from a public university, owns a small tattoo shop and has a talent for illustration. He has a plan: to leave Bolivia so he won't grow old in his provincial, conservative city or in a country he sees as being in constant conflict. Deep down, however, he feels he is still not ready for life and remains a lost child with many lessons yet to learn. On the first day of the year, he meets Cristina, a progressive, spiritual, and sophisticated European backpacker whom he sees as a potential soulmate. Their encounter sets off a series of events that will put Gus's world to the test: love, friendship, family, encounters and separations, and his own way of understanding reality. As Gus struggles to find his path, Bolivia is also undergoing profound social changes that shake and challenge its very foundations.
